Epic Negociants Semaphore Shiraz McLaren Vale No 40 2018

The colour here is a dark garnet. There are still some vanillin oak notes evident on the nose, but integration is proceeding impressively. Chocolate is to the fore here with raspberry, licorice, soy and a delicious choc-cherry character swirling around the aromas. This has excellent length, sleek tannins and good balance with a lingering finish so will provide pleasure for the next six to ten years.
