The great Aussie red blend from a cracking Clare Valley vintage. The colour here is an inky dark maroon. The nose gives us notes of chocolate and mocha with plums, licorice and mulberries. The wine manages to walk the tightrope of power while retaining its elegance. A wine of medium length, it maintains its intensity for the full journey supported by sleek tannins with a persistent finish. Drink over the next six to eight years.
