Failing at Life ‘Partly Cloudy’ Pet Nat 2019

There’s nothing unusual about a sommelier turning their hand to winemaking. Rarely though is a first attempt as delightful as this example by Melbourne sommelier Warren Wu. Aromas of freshly baked white bread, grapefruit curd and watermelon skin. It’s heavy on the spritz (just short of truely fizzy) with a dusting of residual sugar balanced by a lovely lemon pith texture. Drink it in the sun, smash it with some dumplings, or pair it with brunch. Failing at life? I call that winning.
