Feudo Arancio Grillo 2024

Share

Grillo is a Sicilian white wine star that is immensely versatile, whether it’s as a stand-alone bright and brisk dry white or a component of Marsala. Here, it brings plenty of easy drinking and textural charm to a tiny everyday price.  The scent is all about summer fruits, melon, citrus, apple, pear and spice. Flavours are bright with an additional aromatic appearance of honeysuckle and quince amid the summer fruits. A slight fruit sweetness on the finish comes after a long, smooth, textural flow of flavour delivered in fresh, clean acidity. And in typical Italian style, it’s a perfect foil for food. I’m thinking seafood but don’t overchill (the wine, that is).
