Flametree S.R.S. Karridale Sauvignon Blanc 2024

A serious and seriously good young Sauvignon that deserves your full attention. Forget any comparison with über herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc styles. This isn’t one of those. Gentle herbals mix with aromas of lemongrass, ginger, jalapeño, sage, dill, citrus and aromatic apple blossom. There’s a warm, umami feel to this wine from Karridale, an area to the south of Margaret River that takes in the township of Karridale through to Cape Leeuwin and the Southern Ocean.  Arrives totally in sync, melding apple, lemon, lime, pear and grapefruit pith with background herbs and lifted aromatics. Acidity flows clean and bright. A Sauvignon with depth.
