Gioiello Estate Jack’s Falls Pinot Noir 2023

This was a slightly cooler vintage with a long ripening period that seemed to have suited Pinot Noir. Hands-on approach in the winery with open fermentation without crushing followed by hand plunging and gentle pressing. Aromatic perfumed lift of African violet and dark cherry with a subtle spiciness, the palate is medium-weight but firmly structured and poised. It is a wine with the spine and substance to handle further cellaring.
