Gundog Estate The Chase Semillon 2023

This classically styled 2023 Hunter Valley Semillon is a seriously tight little number but may come good given time. Right now, it is highly strung, and shy with compact lanolin, honeydew and citrus aromas, very bright and youthful which provides an attractive start. The shot of upfront acidity provides impact before settling into a silky, light weight palate, that tangy acid never far away. It needs time to build and I think will improve significantly over time.
