Peos Estate Four Aces Pinot Noir 2021

10% of whole bunches with ten days on skins define this wine, which then spent nine months maturing in French oak. Sourced from Manjimup near Pemberton, the colour here is red/ochre. There are attractive fresh, youthful and fruity notes on the nose. Red fruits, spicy touches, animal skins, a hint of undergrowth/forest floor, smoked meats and dry herbs; there is early complexity already evident here. Good focus and fine acidity, this is an impressive Western Australian Pinot Noir. A lingering finish with silky tannins, to drink now and for the next four to five years.
