Gundog Gundaroo Riesling 2023

The 126 dozen of the team’s Canberra Riesling from this vintage might be just a drop in the proverbial ocean, but compared to the 83 dozen of this wine, it looks like a tsunami. If this is your style, do not hesitate. This is the third release of this wine. It is 52 grams residual sweetness, but such is the balance between sweetness and acidity, it seems so much less. Just 7% alcohol! The very palest yellow/straw colour. Gentle florals here with river stones, citrus and minerals. This is clean, fresh, with a line of fine acidity and very gentle sweetness before a lingering finish and ever so finely balanced. Love it – drink now and for five to eight years.
