Hare’s Chase Ironscraper Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

Share

Some super smart oak handling on this Barossa Shiraz allows the fruit to shine. And it’s some lovely fruit. Aromas cover the spectrum from violet, briar and bush scents through to a core of black berries, cherry, lifted nicely by black pepper and gentle spice. There’s a warmth and a richness, sure, but also on display is a peppery element that brings a brightness, a fresh zip to the wine.  To taste, plum and black fruits shine, spice too, with background violet, sage. The spice is particularly enticing. Texture is inviting and smooth. A Barossa Shiraz with class.
