Harewood Estate Flux-VII White Blend 2018

Share

This is an Australian take on the classic aromatic white blends from Alsace in France, made from pinot gris, gewurztraminer and riesling. While similar wines from France can be pungent and fruit-filled, this example is subtly aromatic and perfumed, with bright fruit and crisp acidity.

The wine is pale in colour with very pure fruits – pretty florals, lychee, passionfruit, citrus and pear. It is then clean and light-weight with a silky palate underpinned by crisp acidity and exotic fruits. There is a touch of sweetness that is well balanced and perfectly pitched to match with spicy dishes, such as Thai whole-baked snapper.
