Quite distinctly peppery, fine boned and linear – very cool climate. Black cherry, plum, earth, crushed herbs and dried leaves show the side of Pinot Noir that many of us enjoy, one that is connected to the soil and earth and is less about sweet, sweet fruit. This is a wine of structure, fresh and lively, carrying cherry, cranberry, plum and a gently peppery spice and cacao across the palate. A light savouriness in undergrowth, leafiness adds an attractive extra touch. The finish also shows a touch of amaro-like bitters savouriness, it’s super dry.
