Harewood Estate Porongurup Riesling 2021

Share

There is a great synergy between Riesling and the Porongurup sub-region of Great Southern. Whether it is the granitic soil influence of the nearby mountain range or the climate, riesling laps it up resulting in beautifully fine and detailed Rieslings. This wine is a super pale colour – never a bad sign – and has an intriguing array of aromas, from floral and mineral through to pepper and celery salt, so there is loads of character. It is followed by a tangy and focussed palate – grapefruit and general citrus with a mineral edge. The fruit while fine is also intense and focussed, and provides a long and linear finish. Drink it now with the freshest seafood you can find or enjoy its evolution over the next six to eight years.
