There’s a little bit of Austrian influence in this wine from the Adelaide Hills. Zweigelt is Austria’s number one red grape variety, and it sits quite comfortably alongside the lighter-bodied Pinot Noir. The aromas, as you’d expect from this combination, are perfumed with red florals evident. The palate, though light-bodied, has good fruit intensity with a slightly grainy texture that complements the fruit sweetness. It’s well balanced and seamlessly integrated — an ideal wine for summer drinking, even served slightly chilled.
