Fruit for this crisp Savvy hails from the northern part of the Adelaide Hills. The First Cut series wines represent those made with free run juice. Fermented in stainless steel, the wine then spends a couple of months on lees. Pale lemon straw in colour, this Savvy offers herbal notes with hints of cut grass and an underlying flick of pineapple. There is good energy and freshness here and the wine is soft and expressive on the palate with a pleasingly seductive texture. Showing juicy acidity and good length, this can be enjoyed any time over the next three to four years.
