Head Wines Head Red Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Alex Head has long had a source for Cabernet that has been sprinkled around but, in 2021, he thought the fruit was finally complete and could be bottled on its own with 15% Merlot. I agree. It is a robust and focussed wine for the price as it delivers typical Barossan generosity of blackberry, gravel, dried thyme and spicy clove aromas. It’s then vibrant, mid-weight and not overly powerful but at the same time offers a well-balanced and supple package of considerable length.
