Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir 2020

I like what winemaker Eleana Brooks has done here pushing the boundaries but not out of the park. It has given this wine some real funky, almost feral personality which is a key to the greatest pinot noirs with lots of surprising twists and turns. Mid cherry red, it’s not hugely concentrated but the wine makes up for that with its beautifully fragrant style – wild strawberry, truffle and cranberry aromas intrigue before a dry and fresh palate that is more in the stalky and earthy flavour spectrum. There is also a silky and lingering finish which provides delicious drinkability and tops it off nicely.
