Hentley Farm The Beauty Shiraz 2017

Share

Hentley Farm is a single property, from which the Clos Otto, The Beauty and The Beast Shiraz are drawn, and each are very different wines. From the coolest corner of the property comes The Beauty Shiraz, which also has a touch of Viognier, that is not always a good thing in the Barossa. But it works superbly here.

This is quite a beautiful and understated expression of Barossa Shiraz with power, balance and subtlety. It shows fruits of baked earth, peppery spice, licorice, olive tapenade and black cherry well matched with long oak aging. It is then dry, full-bodied, taut and firm with mouthcoating tannins tightening up the palate and driving a long, highly complex finish. Great mix of concentration, finesse and complexity making it the best value wine in the Hentley Farm range.
