Hesketh Lobethal Chardonnay 2022

Share

The fruit for this very attractive Chardonnay is sourced from a couple of vineyards, at the north and south perimeters of the Lobethal sub-region in the Adelaide Hills. The fruit was pressed into French oak barriques and hogsheads, 20% new, for thirty days on solids, and then eight months maturation. A straw/gold hue, the nose exhibits soft nutty notes, figs, stonefruit, peaches, ginger and some citrussy acidity. Supple structure with a fine line of acidity, this is a medium length wine. Thoroughly enjoyable drinking now and for the next two to three years.
