Houghton Premium Release Chardonnay 2023

Soft aromas of pineapple, peach, ripe lemon and subtle cedar upfront. Some air and warmth brings out a delicate lees-derived sourdough aroma adding dimension. The palate has a light creamy texture, wrapping around nectarine, peach, and pineapple with a hint of cedary oak in support before a clean line of acid pulls it to medium length. A nicely fruited wine with ample texture and judicious oak playing nice in the price point.
