Howard Park Flint Rock Chardonnay 2021

A very well pitched Chardonnay here with something for everyone interested in exploring cool climate styles. Bright light golden in colour, thanks to some oak influence, this youthful Chardonnay is still evolving and will be enjoyable for some time to come thanks to its savoury nougat barrel ferment and vanillin aromas which are well integrated with an array of citrus and floral fruits. There is then good impact of juicy citrus in the mouth with more stone fruits plus a sleek texture punctuated by vibrant acidity before a finish that is quite long. Good complexity for the price and again showing the potential of Great Southern for classy Chardonnay.
