This is sitting at 11 years of age, five years further than the current museum release. The nose releases charry toast, petrol, crushed and toasted almond, jasmine, cassis pastille, toasted lime and hay. The true delight sits on the palate though, as the weight of the fruit and the shape has billowed out around the steely core to provide something more of a complete picture. Phenolics steal the show and the length is impressive – not just due to the line of acidity. It is in fact the fruit shape that continues the journey here. A joy to see aged Aussie Riesling like this, and every wine enthusiast would benefit from purchasing this trio to experience the journey of what time in the cellar can do. This would be a delight with a fresh herbed salad and smoked chicken breast. In a perfect drinking window now or hold to 2030.
