Jack Estate Mythology Shiraz 2015

The fruit for this very fine Coonawarra Shiraz came from the subregions of Glenroy and Comaum. The parcels were fermented discretely before spending a further year and a half in barrel, after which they were blended and given yet another 22 months maturation. Deep maroon with a blood red rim, the nose reveals a range of aromatics, including chocolate, coffee beans, spices, blackberries and smoked meats. There is good oak integration here, impressive balance and exemplary length. The wine has a supple texture with a lingering finish, through to the fine tannins. Lots of life, it should drink well for the next eight to ten years.
