Killiecrankie Bendigo Shiraz 2022

Bendigo Shiraz is a bit of an unsung hero, with some excellent examples out there but not enough people know about them. The Killiecrankie version is a delightful wine, showing a splendid mix of primary and tertiary characters: mulberry, black cherry, cassis, earth, smoke and dried red and black fruits. The palate is dark and brooding, and with lots of air, the wine comes together into completeness, particularly on the second night. Great by itself but enhances and is enhanced by a wide range of foods.
