The Enterprise Vineyard in Clare’s central northern parts is a 50-year plus source of the estate’s finest Cabernets, which have garnered significant international praise over the years. Here in a much-loved vintage, it is all about finesse and balance, varietally on song with a more crimson fruited profile than perhaps expected, attractive floral notes, bay leaf and black olive elements in the mix and gentle expressed tannins. Let this breathe for a while – it’s softly spoken but has a heart of gold. (Open and tasted over several days with notable integrity, suggesting certain longevity).
