An inaugural release under Clare Valley’s Knappstein winery’s new “Unearthed” range, created to explore the less familiar side of the region’s varietal mix. There’s plenty of Sangio expression here: crimson colour with black cherry sour vibes aromatically and a high tone of the same in the palate, hibiscus flower tea, bright acidity driving vibrant red berry flavours at high revs. Superfresh styling, pithy tannins in the finish. Will work a treat beside rich pasta dishes.
