Vinaceous Wines Snake Charmer Frankland River Shiraz 2019

Share

I don’t always go for creative wine names but ‘Snake Charmer’ suits Frankland River Shiraz down to the ground. They are generally not big, fleshy shiraz styles with subtle savoury corners to be found if you look hard enough. This wine definitely showcases a more elegant side to shiraz with its gently fragrant fruits – blackberry, black cherry, white pepper and subtle oak coming together nicely. It’s followed by a dry and juicy palate underpinned by light tannins – this wine for casual drinking is made for a good time, not a long time. With acidity its key feature, you could chill it down or enjoy with a charcuterie platter.
