Krondorf Stone Altar Old Vine Shiraz 2022

Share

Dense, dark purple hues. Arrives in the glass in rich, concentrated aromas plush in spice, chocolate, black fruits, black plum, earth, baked earth and briar. This is a wine of the land and the grape with old vine Shiraz sourced from the Light Pass and Lyndoch sub-regions of the Barossa. Continues the theme as it travels across the palate, dense, full bodied, heavy in spice, pan forte, dark chocolate, black fruits and, overall, nicely refined in tannins. Classic old vines bring an almost effortless integrity to wine, as tasted here. A touch hot to close, but this remains one smart Barossa Shiraz.
