Lange Estate Fifth Generation Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Frankland River Cabernet which spent a year maturing in French oak. A deep garnet colour, this is an earthy, savoury style with notes of mushrooms, warm earth, tobacco leaves, beef stock, black fruits and coffee grinds. A little chocolate, this is showing a great deal of promise for the future and drinking it now would be doing it, and yourself, a disservice. The palate is gorgeous, supple and seductive, with a seamless structure, sleek tannins and a very long focus. Leave for two to three years, if you can, and then drink for the next decade.
