Larnook Grenache Gris 2024

Share

A reserved nose to begin featuring melon and rubbed herbs, before an unfurling of green apple, subtle cinnamon, and green pear with whispers of sea spray and oyster shell adding interest in the background. It’s pretty and moreish aromatically. The palate holds similar restraint, though not at the expense of concentration. Bitter green apple skin, nashi pear, cinnamon and saline minerality nestle in a round texture before a gentle and attractively bitter close featuring a delicate phenolic edge. This is cleverly crafted Grenache Gris with lovely definition and freshness. Another steal from this producer at $27.
