Hand selected grapes, 45 days appassimento on Ripasso followed by second ferment on Amarone pomace. Spiced dark plum, pepper, dark cherry, roast tomato, sweet vanilla, and chocolate. The palate is full bodied and broad-shouldered, brimming with vanilla bean from the extended oak ageing, followed by dark cherry, dark plum and chocolate again. The tannins are still chewy, and cacao laced, bringing length through the palate with a sour plum and liquorice root essence in tow.
