Leo Buring Leopold Tasmania Riesling 2023

Share

Offers an enticing counterpoint to the ’24 Leopold Riesling with ’23 being a cooler than average growing season. Involves the usual level of winemaking intricacy with fruit off a single block and the block’s two different clones receiving different fermentations and kept separate before blending. White Hills Vineyard character to the fore – white flowers, abundant lime-lemon-grapefruit citrus and mineral wet stone – but with an added layer of honeyed lemon pastille and herbal lemongrass. Boasts a slipperiness to the texture which is quite the feature.
