Lienert Vineyards Jack West Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2020

A bright medium bodied expression of these three chums that is such a good combination, whether at the serious end of the price spectrum or at the more modest value for money point. This one is obviously about value which it delivers with a bit of style. Savoury and slightly plummy fruit with a lively red fruit infusion. The tannins run fine and long in support and the oak is deliberately underplayed. It also has a spicy juicy character that is most appealing. It was pretty warm in the Barossa in 2020, yet the balance, poise and fruit expression are all spot on.
