Longview Macclesfield Syrah 2020

A fine example of a cooler climate Syrah – a focused, mid-weight, silky style, very different from the big and bold styles from the Barossa. A deep red/maroon colour. The nose gives red fruits, florals, dry herbs, cherries, spices, mushrooms and warm earth. This is well balanced, fine and lingering with satiny tannins. Lovely wine and anyone keen to see how versatile this variety can be should chase this down. Would work beautifully with a plate of good charcuterie.
