There’s so much that goes into this excellent Chardonnay from the famous Rising Vineyard in the Yarra Valley. It’s a combination of fruit from five sites, different clones and a range of slopes. It has a beautiful mineral purity, that initially shows on the nose with a subtle underlay of creamy stone fruit and lemon curd. It’s quite a delicate wine yet there is excellent fruit concentration supported by a chalky limestone acidity which contributes to that focused long finish.
