Luminosa Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2024

Share

Not all single vineyards are equal in the glass, some shine brighter – literally, figuratively –  than others. Enter Luminosa, a singular expression of Margaret River Chardonnay that gets the heart racing. A lovely complexity unfolds with aromas rich in stone fruits, citrus, pear, hazelnut, buttered toast with a touch of rockpool. The ’24 vintage was a good one, and there is a solid core of fruit concentration and lusciousness delivered against a striking acid profile. The acid drive is remarkable, and yet the result is neither angular nor mean, because the fruit is up to the task. There is an almost effortless ease to the wine. Grapefruit pith and lemon zest mix with stone fruits and citrus on the palate producing a tart, textural and savoury attitude. Beautifully composed and individual, and there is definitely more to build upon in the years to come.
