MadFish Gold Turtle Margaret River Shiraz 2017

Share

There is not enough love around for Margaret River shiraz. While the local cabernet sauvignon has fans around the world, shiraz often gets lost in the noise. But the temperate climate is actually well suited to creating an elegant, early-drinking style for this variety – spicy, supple, food-friendly wines with plenty of character.

This wine from MadFish is a tasty example of the casual Margaret River style. It is fragrant and subtle with cranberry, red currant and white pepper scented fruits that burst out of the glass. It is mid-wight and supple too – far from the blockbuster South Australian style – but still quite complex and well balanced. A great wine for picnics and outdoor entertaining.
