Mazi Limited Release Rosé 2021

Share

A delicious blend of mourvedre and grenache where all the stops have been pulled out to make a serious rosé. A gentle touch in the winery is on show with some oak ferment and maturation helping to lift it above most. There is a restrained fruit power too that slowly unfurls which is always the way with the best from mourvedre. White strawberry, raspberry and rose petals plus some spicy/cedary elements from old oak. The palate shows delicious brightness and freshness, with a little bit of mourvedre charcuterie now joining red fruits as well as supple phenolic grip that underpins a lingering finish with a nice acid bite to close. A classy rosé that could handle a couple of years in the cellar.
