McHenry Hohnen Hazel’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Share

Deeply coloured but showing a little colour development thanks to its’ almost seven years of age, this wine is almost Bordeaux-like in style thanks to gravelley, earthy complexity front and centre supported by plush blackberry fruits with a dusting of cedar and pine needles just starting to emerge. A flavoursome palate follows well supported by high quality oak, again more in the earthy and herbal flavour spectrum. It is highly complex and feels at its peak right now but certainly has the stuffing to drink well for another five years at least.
