This 2024 Chardonnay, of which only two barrels were bottled, shows excellent depth of fruit and intensity in a youthful frame opening up with stone fruit aromas topped by cashew scented oak and a nice touch of flinty complexity. Rich yet balanced with pristine flavours wrapped up in a thick blanket of spicy oak. There is also appreciable tension and underlying strength of flavour which holds through a sustained and youthful finish. Still tight with prominent oak but promises to build beautifully for at least a decade. An exceptional Hunter Valley Chardonnay.
