As you would expect there is no shortage of fruit in this new release of Central Otago Blanc de Noirs, its Pinosity is apparent in strawberry skin, and warm skin kissed dark cherries. There is a ruby grapefruit citrus tang with some sherbet notes of apple and raspberries. Fruit takes the cake here with yeasty notes just sideline to its full berry flavours. A hint of shortbread and greek yoghurt creaminess. This is the kind of sparkling that would still be a wonderful drink without its bubbles, but for their part they are an elegant bead carrying the finish for long moments. A great expression of Pinot Noir in its refreshing and lively form. Drink now with a pork terrine and compote of cherries.
