Nicolas Delfaud Mâcon-Verzé Blanc 2022

Nicolas is an ex-Parisian sommelier who has entered the winemaking world with excellent results. The nose shows some well-balanced oxidation; there is quince, fragrant pear, salty grapefruit, and fresh cream from the period on lees. There is no wood. The palate is very clean, with that lemony sherbet and sappiness. Oxidation holds very well once again, giving the wine a drive and character with a lovely salty tang at the end.
