Another Ninth Island sparkling punching about its price point. Traditional method. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. Pale salmon pink. There’s nice red fruit drive here both on the nose and palate. Strawberry coulis, ruby grapefruit, persimmon, a glimmer of salted dough. The palate has lovely red fruit lift and a delicate bead adding textural allure. Strawberry, red apple, a twist of blood orange. Some nice grip to the sides through a finish of decent length. A lovely expression at a modest price.
