Teakle Chardonnay 2024

Share

Barrel fermented in French Oak Hogsheads with 25% new. Eight months on lees with monthly battonage. Some charry cedarwood and vanilla bean quickly make way for pear, honeydew melon, raw sourdough, sea salt, marzipan, and cinnamon apple. Nice complexity on show spanning oak, lees and fruit. The palate has good weight and intensity, led by nectarine and Meyer lemon with marzipan, vanilla and pastry dough in support. There’s nice citrusy acidity providing a cleansing frame through the finish. It’s fresh and bright but with sufficient complexity to look at. Another good value proposition from Teakle.
