Ottelia Sangiovese 2019

Share

The changing tastes of Australian wine drinkers is beautifully encapsulated here in this vibrant sangiovese – it’s here for a good time, not a long time and smells like a bowl of berries – fresh cherries and blueberries with faint animal fur and earthy spice. It’s then quite lightly framed in the mouth – dry and juicy with layers of red fruits plus hints of new leather. The fruit is upfront and the tannins supple while drawing out a finish of mid length. Like all great sangiovese it is most at home on the table, with gourmet pizza and garlic bread a perfect match.
