Paitin Faset Barbaresco Piedmont 2021

Share

Fine, mineral, and lithe aromatically. Pure red cherry sits above cinnamon and nutmeg spice first off, leading to cranberry, subtle raspberry and red liquorice. The minerality shoots through the centre of the aromas creating excellent shape and lift. Air unlocks a deeper dried red floral note adding prettiness along with a whisper of white pepper savouriness for added complexity. The lifted and mineral aesthetic carries through to the palate, which is a foil to very assertive upfront structure in the form of stacked brick dust tannins and cranberry acidity. These furl around notes akin to the nose, drawing long length through a long. A Barbaresco defined by tensile purity, mineral finesse and fine detail, with incredible structure. This will age beautifully.
