Takes its name from the ancient, 1.7 billion-year-old Paracombe Plateau which is high in altitude – 425 metres- and comprised of a complex set of soils which include ironstone and gravel. Composed, complex and seductive, this ’22 Pinot draws you in with the first sniff of black cherry, red plum, ripe mixed berries, herbs and the aromatic floral prettiness of rose petal, bergamot and pressed flowers. That mix of red berries, herbs and florals is beautifully integrated on the palate. Tannins are taut and bright and gently savoury, finishing dry with a smoky tobacco leaf finish. Shows plenty of class.
