This is a thoroughly beautiful example of a young Hunter Semillon. It pays homage to one of the pioneers of the region, John McDonald, who acquired a deed of grant way back in 1825. The nose displays slightly more stone fruit characters but still with that talc-y fine acidity merging seamlessly. The palate displays a lovely textural mouthfeel, with the precision of young Hunter Semillon clearly evident. It’s such a bright, easy-drinking style of wine.
