Some wonderful vintage conditions in 2023, this is a mosaic of flavours. Davidson plum, Bing cherries and Acai, the blue and black fruit moves into trodden dark earth, Wood ear mushroom and carob. Some licorice root, olive leaf and cherry syrup. Acidity is steep and supports the granular tannins. Once again fruit circles back finishing with plummy notes and steeped Assam tea leaves. This has a long way to go, I suggest 4-6 years if you want to uncover the earthy delights but if drinking now, go for a mushroom medley and lots of Manjimup truffle shaved from above.
