A big step up here from the Director’s Cut Shiraz of the same vintage and another wine that shows the fantastic quality of Cabernet Sauvignon from Langhorne Creek, a vital component in Wolf Blass’ iconic Black label for many years. Deeply coloured, there is a delicious array of vibrant, dark berry fruits lifted by both green and dried herbs plus a cedary eucalypt twist and generous oak. There is great heart and richness to the palate with superb concentration and all backed by firm but integrated tannins before driving though to a long and open knit finish. Super now and with plenty of staying power for the cellar.
